"A Beginner's Guide to Neurodiversity and Accessible Education" with Mariah L. Arral on Thursday, December 8 at 12:00 PM.
This presentation will provide background information on disability, neurodiversity, and best education practices for professors and students on accessible education. Participants will leave with a background in terminology to engage in thoughtful conversations around the disability community. Mariah L Arral is a 5th year PhD candidate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. Mariah has received national and international awards for her research and academic work, including the NSF GRFP. Mariah is an openly Autistic and dyslexic researcher.
